Merino or Rambouillet may require two
washings, but not usually.
We reserve the right to shirt or even re-skirt the fleece to
return a nice, clean product to you and to protect our equipment. All tags, vegetal sorts and skirts can be returned with the carded wool to you if requested before skirting.

We cannot accept fiber from animals that have been dipped in any pesticides or external worming

Marking inks or dyes will be skirted off the fleece/fibers before scouring.

Minimums:

There is a $10 (or $15) minimum charge for scouring (separate hot water baths & time are required for ½ pound or 7 pounds).

$15 minimum charge per batt for carding (to clean the carder between every lot, regardless of how small the batch is).

If fleeces are to be kept separate in processing, minimums
will apply.
Shipping:

All fiber will be processed and returned as labeled by YOU so
please include clear, written instructions: whether you want
carding or picking or only scouring, which fleeces should be handled
separately, return of skirts, UPS address, etc. and a credit
card for your deposit and/or complete payment.

We can ship your washed fiber to the mill of your choice for
spinning and we will let you know the weight of fiber we send
out for you.

You pay full shipping (USP or USPS) to & from this
facility.
Payment:
-
A deposit of at least 1/3 is required for jobs estimated over $100. Full payment is due before we will ship or hand you back your fiber. If you chose to pick up your fiber we will store it for 30 days without charge. From 31 to 90 days the storage cost is 5% of the total invoice per month. We reserve the right to sell any fiber left here over 90 days without recourse.
